Originally from Greensboro, NC, Rodney Shores is a music educator, performer, choral conductor, and lecturer who also specializes in the history of Christian worship and philosophy. Rodney has taught at the University of South Florida and Trinity College of Florida, conducted for the Gulf Coast Youth Choirs, and has served as guest conductor for the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay’s Festival of Voices.  Dr. Shores currently serves as Artist Associate Faculty at the University of Tampa, where he conducts the Men's and Women’s Glee Clubs, and teaches courses in music theory and voice. In addition to his work at UT, he is a tenor in the Bay area’s own Florida ProMusica and maintains a private studio of twenty voice and piano students.

After completing the master’s degree in piano performance, Rodney returned to USF to complete all course work for the masters degree in choral conducting, as well as the advanced graduate certificate in piano performance and pedagogy. Additionally, he studied theology and philosophy at Reformed Theological Seminary in Oviedo prior to completing his doctorate in historical liturgics at the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Orange Park, Florida.

Shanpatrick Davis is the director of the Cuda Chorus at Coral Senior High School. Throughout his 16 years of teaching, he has gained credibility as a choral director through his accomplishments and professional work ethic in the choral community. His choirs have consistently received Superior ratings on both the District and State level as well as being highly requested to sing in the community and have the opportunities to perform with Gloria Estefan, John Secada, King Singers, and Seraphic Fire. Furthermore Shanpatrick’s choirs have won National awards, as well as having featured performances at the FMEA Conference (2007, 2015) and FLACDA Conference (2016).

 

With a Bachelor’s Degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Master’s Degree in music education from Florida State University, Shanpatrick was nominated as an Upcoming Bright Choral Director by the Florida Vocal association along with “Future Leader” by the Florida Music Educators Association. Shanpatrick was the conductor of All-County Choirs in Palm Beach (2009), Collier (2010), Volusia (2014), and Miami-Dade (2015). Shanpatrick has embarked on his journey to create, and spread, music to all. His goal is to build leaders, proficient musicians, passionate people, and produce pure and inspirational music!
